Cooking with Kraft

Gotta love this site if you shop at Publix. They have some AWESOME coupons. I got an email from them today and if I shared a .75 coupon with at least 2 friends, they would send me a BOGO coupon for any Oscar Mayer deli creation. Done and Done!

Make sure you sign up with them!

Also don't forget to print out 2 of the $1 off Publix water coupon when you buy one Oscar Mayer deli creation.

I totally did an awesome deal!

Well, not technically. My husband did the trip for me. But thanks to WhoSaidNothingInLifeisFree??? I was able to do the covergirl deal at Winn Dixie. Poor hubby had to go pick out makeup for me. Not as bad as feminine products, so the man got off easy. Anyway, I told him to make sure he got stuff that was over 8 bucks each, since I had 4 BOGO coupons and covergirl was BOGO at Winn Dixie. So that means FREE makeup. And the cherry on top of that sweet delicious deal? Oh, they also give you a $10 catalina if you spent over $30 on the product. Seriously. So he found the lightest makeup he could (I am the palest person in Florida. I go to the beach and people think I am from Minnesota or something.) and checked out. Then I asked him to do another transaction. Which he totally fought me on. But did like I asked, like a good hubby should. We did the Winn Dixie breakfast deal, in which you buy 3 boxes of cereal and get coffee, bacon, gallon of milk, and donuts for FREE. I gave him coupons for the cereal and he used the $10 catalina to pay for the rest. That total came out to 68 CENTS. Total we paid was a little over $3-just for tax!!!! THREE DOLLARS??? Pure awesomeness. 8 covergirl foundations, milk, 3 big boxes of Cherrios, donuts, bacon, and coffee for three whole dollars. I pay more than that usually for just a gallon of milk.
Want to know the best part??? You are probably thinking, it can't get any better than that. Oh, it can. My husband was FINALLY impressed. He couldn't stop talking about it. Usually I get a good job, pat on the back, a "good job" hug. But he didn't understand my THRILL of saving so much money....until today. He just kept saying "I can't believe how much money you saved". And seriously, those were the last words he said as he fell asleep. I had a huge grin on my face.

Pop Tartilicious

I got 10 boxes of Pop Tarts at Publix during their BOGO sale and used $1/2 blinkie (thank goodness I picked them up 2 weeks ago) to pay only .74 per box. So that is like $7.40 total AND I can enter those codes (10 different boxes) and get 2 free movie tickets worth $12 each. Hello gorgeous. My kids and I totally don't eat pop tarts, but hey it was worth it! My husband only likes the blueberry kind. 9 other boxes are for the daycare kids. I can not beat that!

Marry me Opinion Outpost

This survey site is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!
I joined on 4/11 and took my first survey on 4/17 and so far I have earned almost $15! They actually have fun surveys too. I cashed out my first check for $7 on 5/5 and I was just able to cash out again TODAY for $7.50. That is my kind of survey site. Totally bummed that I didn't join before when they did Amazon gift cards. I am really hoping to have an Amazon Christmas (or as much as one as I can get). I'll have an Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazon Christmas (please sing this to the tune of Blue Christmas but without my off pitch voice).
If you want to join (and you should!), just click here.

Today was a good day

According to the Ice Cube video it didn't end well. But I can't help but sing/rap (ok..my rap is beyond ridiculous) his classic song. Today was a good day. Oooooo Oh.
I won $5 amazon e-gift card from commenting on a post (see previous post)
I took a survey from Lightspeed and was able to cash out for a $5 Amazon e-gift card
I also took a survey from OpinionOutpost and made $2. It seriously took me 12 minutes to do that.
I am able to do these during my lunch breaks. Can't beat that!

Oh and my sister brought me Boston Market. I got a free lunch today! Like I said-good day!

made my day

Well, besides only getting 3 hours of sleep and hearing a child scream his head off cause I had to go to the bathroom-my day was made by reading my email. What could do that? By winning money! Wahooo! Thank you CouponingtoDisney! She has this awesome thing going where you comment on any post she makes that day and she will pick a random comment to win a $5 Amazon e-gift card. And....I WON!!!

It really is the little things with me.

P.S. How do kids know the second your butt hits the toilet?

No sleep till Brooklyn

Well I finally fell asleep after 3:30 am last night and got woken up by my lovely children at 6:45. Nothing like a 3 hour sleep to get you through the day. I just don't know how to shut my brain off. Can someone please invent an on/off button for me? Thanks.
Thankfully my hubby got me a 7-11 ice coffee. Did you know that you can stretch your buck at 7-11 with their delicious addictive ice coffees. Seriously they are so good. I am a HUGE starbucks fan and I will pick the 7-11 ice coffee over a starbucks ice coffee. They are THAT good. Anyway, if you save your cup you can get your next ice coffee for .99! Plus what I do instead of getting a large, I get a small and put no ice in it. Then I will put my own ice in it at home. Lasts so much longer that way. And I feel savvy. Look at me stretching my buck

Hot hot hot coupon

Ok, now I have that song stuck in my head. I'm feeling hot, hot, hot. How you feeling? Hot, hot, hot. Totally side tracked there. Coupons.com have a $3/2 Right Guard coupon. Scroll right past the $1/1 and look for the $3/2. It is hot for the upcoming CVS deal. Gotta love free deodorant. Especially the way my husband goes through it. He goes through about 4 before I am done with my 1. And yes I put it on daily. He takes like 5 minutes per pit to apply. Like it works any better that way. I used to get so pissed before since I would pay $4 a pop every 2 weeks. Now I can let that pet peeve go. Now I just have 1,456,789,321 more to go.
According to WhoSaidNothingInLifeIsFree??? the deal is $2.99 at CVS and get a $2 ECB starting 5/9/10. You get a limit of 2. So that makes it a dollar money maker with the $3/2 coupon. Yeah...deal! Thanks WhoSaidNothingInLifeIsFree for the heads up!!! And to CouponingtoDisney for getting me to move fast on the deal (I seriously jumped to get the coupon).

Wild for Wags giveaway

I found this site about 2 weeks ago and have been a faithful follower ever since. I have always been scared of Walgreens and their register rewards. They seem so dang tricky and have so many rules. I am one of those nerds that follow the rules, but I am also lazy. So when there is too many rules, I say hell no and walk away. But wildforwags made it seem so easy. What is great is that she helps new comers every week. Last week, she seriously helped me pay $12 total and get back $13 in register rewards!!! I didn't do it her exact way or it would have been $2 out of pocket. I was still nervous. Seriously nervous. I have no idea why couponing still makes me nervous. Like someone is going to scream at me or something. They're all going to laugh at you runs through my mind over and over. Anyway, I got 2 reach toothbrushes, 2 reach dental floss, 2 packs of razors, skintimate shaving gel, Tone body wash, candy bar (a delicious filler-literally), and a partridge in a pair tree. I was basically paid a dollar to get all of that. C-R-A-Z-Y!
Anyway, what was my point? Oh yes, she is doing a giveaway. Not only does she help you save money-she gives it away. Check out her $50 Western Union giveaway. I hope you win. (no I don't-I hope I win, but I felt like I should say that to be nice)

Outback rewards

Might want to log in to your outback rewards site. I got another 250 points for a very easy survey. Now I am up to 500 points and I just opened it a couple weeks ago. I so hope that they offer gift cards to trade your points in for soon. I love that horribly, fattening, worse food you can eat (according to eat this, not that) cheese fries. Seriously that ranch dressing with the fries makes me drool like my old dog, Charlie. And believe me, his drool-gross. I could swim in that ranch dressing.
This just makes me look so forward to my Tilapia tonight. So forward. Did I mention I hate Tilapia? But my family loves it. Ok, my husband loves it. And he don't love much.

sweet coupons in mail home ad

Sweetbay's mail home ad had a $5/30 coupon on the front cover. That is the very first time I have EVER seen them have a coupon. I was totally psyched.
Albertsons did not have their wonderful $5/50 coupon. Oh how I love you Albertsons coupon. I can't believe home many years I just threw you away like you were trash. Please forgive me. I do so love you.
Also, Publix has one too! They had it on their front cover of their BOGO ad. $5/50 and it lasts till 5/18.
I am totally going to use the Sweetbay one this week at Publix. Thank you Publix for accepting competitor coupons. That really is so nice of you.

Stretch your buck

I figured I would start little ways to stretch your money.

Here is the first one.

You ever buy those foam soaps for the kids (or yourself)? Those things are awesome, cause lets face it-kids are not the best at working up a good lather. And if you are lazy (like me) these foam soaps are just made for you. But they go say freaking fast. Why? Cause they are 2/3 water! We pay the same price for water. Us lazy people pay so much for convenience. Am I saying its not worth it? Heck no, I love my foaming soaps. But here is the trick to stretch your buck. Buy regular soap (with a coupon of course!) and then use it in your favorite foaming bottle. Fill the foaming soap bottle 1/3 of the way with soap and 2/3 with water. Viola, you have foaming soap...for 1/3 of the price!

My hero

There are 2 blogs I follow constantly. Obsessively. Like a stalker. Can't do it without them. What would I do without them kinda way. Not saying I check their sites multiple (like 5-6 times a day) cause I wouldn't do that. No. That would be weird. And I would be considered a blog stalker. Um. Cough. Anyway. These 2 ladies are helping me to understand how to slowly get myself out of debt by saving money on everyday items.

Michelle at IheartPublix is amazing. Not only does she save me an amazing amount of money at Publix, she is so down to Earth and sweet. She got me rolling on the coupons. I am no where near her skill level yet. But she sure helps everyone get there in a very easy way. I love her. so. much. I talk about her like she is my friend. Hey, anyone that can help me save money on food is my friend. I run a daycare and kids have stomachs that don't fill. Seriously. They don't.

Then there is Amy at Whosaidnothinginlifeisfree. She is another amazing lady. I mean it. Amazing. The woman can spend .97 and get a whole freaking cart full....including meat and produce! I am so no where near that. She not only does it with food, but every item she buys for her house. And you want to know the kicker? The part that kicks my butt? She is a daycare mom too! I need her energy. She goes and hits the deals right away and is not lazy like me (Dude, I am so lazy at the end of the day. I am like a puddle. Please step over mommy, she is a puddle again). I seriously check her site constantly. Like all the time. Like I have it up right now. I get kinda crazy when I can't check it. What happens if she just posted the most amazing deal and I'm missing it???????? Yeah, that type of crazy.

Trying to sleep again

It has been about 3 years since I have gotten a decent nights sleep. Yes, I have a 3 year old daughter and a 6 year old son but they are not the reason I don't sleep (ok they have a little to do with it). My crazy debt is what keeps me awake at night. I worry about it all the time. I mean ALL THE TIME. Your probably thinking, how bad can it be? Yeah, bad. Here is the number. Hold on I am still cringing and holding my breath. Don't judge, ok? OK, I know you will, but just talk about it behind my back. What I don't know won't kill me. $50,872. Yep, over FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Does that count my mortgage? hahahahhaha! I wish! That is my credit cards, car loan, personal loan, and home equity. We have not always been the smartest people when it came to money. Hey, shopping and eating out is so much better then not. Duhz. We have had our ups and downs with money. We were stupid before, but got everything paid off. Then BAM 6 months later my husband lost his job. I know, we are all hearing that same story. My husband used to have a very good paying job-$60K a year. Plus my $30. We were so naive. Well 3 months after he lost his job, I had my daughter and my mom couldn't watch the kids anymore. So not only did we lose his income, we gained 2 more expenses-daycare and a new baby! So our debt quickly started to add up. He got a job 6 months later, but for 20k less then he made before. I also quit my job and started an in-home daycare. The first year was super hard. But I couldn't afford daycare and I wanted to be with my babies. Did all of our debt happen cause of that? No. Remember what I said before? We like to shop and eat. Deadly combination. And it really is hard to adjust yourself down to a new income. Really. Hard. For us anyways.
So, I am going to hold myself accountable. I have been making great steps to do it, but keep slipping every once in a while. But I figure if other people are going to hold me accountable, I can do it better. I have become a coupon freak. I would never had touch a coupon before. Like I said, I was stupid. Dude, it is like free money. I constantly roll my eyes at myself. Anyways, I will be posting what deals I make, little ways I/we make money (surveys, swagbucks, etc.), and my totals. Come along for my debt roller coaster ride. Please keep your hands inside the vehicle and no flash photography. If you get sick, please puke somewhere else.
